Absolutely! 

While the founder of this foundation is committed to funding the underlying objectives as set out above… there are so many other worthy candidates that could also be offered assistance in achieving their goals and their potential. This is where you can add value to children that otherwise may have to forgo a post-secondary education. Each year there will be 3 candidates, in fact the teachers have a hard time bringing it down to this number, after meeting each student they all seem so worthy of the award … selecting only one will be extremely difficult. 

Contributions over $250 are provided with a charitable receipt for tax purposes. This charity will be fully transparent to those that wish to donate. Each dollar net of the small fee charged by Charitable Gifts Canada to administer and audit the fund will go directly to the candidates for their education. That is, your money invested today will make a huge difference tomorrow. The earlier the donation then the more value it will provide as it grows in a tax-free environment.

Ideally, this fund will provide educational grants in perpetuity so if you are looking to make a difference, you can consider leaving a charitable gift via your estate that will offer a taxable benefit at that time. (Please consult your legal and tax professionals).
